About Keith Johnson, Computer Safety Pro
Experience with Technical Training
Hello and thank you for visiting this website.
I am a Senior Quality Engineer and technical professional with more than 30 years of experience in software development, quality assurance, systems analysis, technical documentation, computer security, and technical training. Throughout my career, much of my work has involved understanding complex systems and then explaining them clearly so that other people can use technology with greater confidence.
Computer Safety Pro is an educational service built around that experience. I provide private, one-on-one Windows computer safety classes designed to help people better understand the security and system information already available on their own computers. During each class, you perform the checks yourself while I teach you what the Windows tools display, what the terminology means, and how to interpret the information they provide, over Google Meet.
My approach is intentionally non-invasive. I do not remotely access your computer, request passwords, install software, diagnose computer problems, perform repairs, or provide security certification. The goal is education: to help you become more informed, more comfortable, and more capable of understanding your own Windows computer.
WHY HUMAN INSTRUCTION STILL MATTERS
Artificial intelligence is an extraordinary tool. It can process enormous amounts of information, explain technical concepts, compare alternatives, and identify patterns with remarkable speed. But information and discernment are not the same thing.
Human expertise develops through lived experience. After decades of working with software, computer systems, quality assurance, documentation, troubleshooting, and technical users, a professional develops contextual judgment: recognizing which details matter, noticing inconsistencies, understanding consequences, and knowing when a situation exceeds the limits of what can reasonably be concluded.
What we sometimes call professional intuition is often accumulated pattern recognition—the result of thousands of observations, decisions, successes, failures, and lessons learned over time.
Computer Safety Pro does not compete with AI, Windows, antivirus software, or automated security products. These are valuable tools. My role is different: I teach people how to understand the information those tools provide, how to ask better questions, and how to recognize when additional professional assistance may be appropriate.
Technology can provide information.
Human experience helps us understand what to do with it.
